Having A Plan

         Looking back at this assignment I am so glad what all I have accomplished in these blogs. A month ago I had no plan in my head for my future. I had a goal and now I have a plan. I've always had a goal of becoming a Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader, and chances of that are starting to look good for me now because I have a plan to get there. I have greatly enjoyed reading the comments from all of my peers and classmates. They have all thought that it would be so cool for me to be a DCC. They've said things such as "you would be a great Cowboys Cheerleader!" I've appreciated all the support they have given me. While also writing about other things in my blog, I maintained to keep the idea of becoming a DCC the main idea. I thought that the other things in my blog were interesting at some points, yet barely anyone who commented said anything about them, they mainly just talked about me becoming a DCC. For example, in my last blog I mentioned about how I used to be a DCC for Halloween and I thought that it was a fact that stood out in my blog.

         I'm so glad I was able to interview Hannah Smith. She was the major turning point for my goal into my plan. She really inspired me. She makes me so motivated for what there is to come. I also am inspired by the heart that she has. The fact that she kept on worrying about me and my future was so sweet to me. She wanted me to be prepared and not make the mistakes she did. Although I know I will make my own mistakes I know her information was helpful, and maybe one day I'll be able to help a girl like me from making the mistakes I will make. I really hope to continues blogs like this, and maybe even start on another topic. I thought about ideas during this that I probably would've never thought of. I thought out of my comfort zone and thankfully it was for my benefit. 

Dreams to Reality

         Hannah Smith is someone who I aspire to be. She seemed so perfect to me even though she was telling me about many flaws in her life. Hannah is a Tennessee Titans cheerleader, and she deserves that position more than ever. Not only is Hannah a Tennessee Titans Cheerleader she also went to Mississippi State! Since this is the college I will most likely be going to next year everything she talking about seemed so appealing to me. She did not make the Mississippi State dance team not once, but also twice, and now look where she is. She had the determination to prove people wrong and that got her to fulfill one of her dreams. While talking to her I didn't have to ask many questions at all, she just kept on going about college and also professional cheer leading. I figured it was just her personality to talk non stop, but then she said to me "I want you to be overly prepared for whatever comes your way." I gathered a lot of new information from her that will help me in the long run. She said NOT to pick a random room mate. Her first random room mate ended up being escorted off the campus just three weeks into school for having meth chemicals in their dorm. This was so traumatizing to me, so I definitely will not be doing a random room mate. She also told me to go through all four years of college before I become a professional cheerleader. NFL cheer leading will not be my career forever and I need to be prepared for anything that may come my way. She also said that there is so much liability to being a NFL cheer leader, so I should at least wait until I am 21. The great thing about Hannah is that she probably has no idea how much of an influence she was on me, and one day I hope I can influence someone as much as she has influenced me.

        Realizing how much of an impact an NFL cheer leader has on one person, I've always wondered how much of an impact they probably have on everybody else. On NPR (National Public Radio) it was talked about how the Dallas cowboys and their cheerleaders ("Americas team") helped Dallas overcome being known as the "city of hate" after Kennedy's assassination. I never knew Dallas went through such a struggle with this, and this only makes the DCC's even more appealing to me. My mom said they have always been appealing to me. My parents would watch the Dallas Cowboys games with me but I would only watch to look for the cheerleaders. Being a big cowboys fan, my dad said it would be so cool for me to be a DCC so that he could be able to go to the games but also be able to watch me at the same time. My family used to go to the Texas State fair every year during fall break and that's wear I got my DCC costume for Halloween one year when I was around the age of 7. I wore the costume a lot more than just on Halloween. Looking back on those pictures in that costume makes me want to live out my childhood dream. Both parents agreed that becoming a DCC would be a step to success. Mom said, "Not only will you be a cheerleader you will be meeting new people and opportunities for the future." This gives me hope for so much more of my future, especially after my college years. My mom also pointed out that the DCC's do a lot of volunteer work and travel, and those two things are things that interest me. I've always wanted to go over seas and volunteer, or even volunteer here in America and make an impact on someones life. Becoming a DCC would give me so many opportunities to be like Hannah and make an impact on someones life but also help myself make my dream become a reality.
